Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Yadadri- Bhuvanagiri was established in the auspicious Tapobhumi of erstwhile saints and is located near the historic Sri Ramalingeswara temple whose origin dates back to around 5th to 7th century C.E. The campus runs to about 22 acres and is surrounded by beautiful trees and lakes.
The origin of Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Yadadri- Bhuvanagiri owes to Revered Swami Ranganathanandaji maharaj who felt the need to have a place of worship for devotees of Sri Ramakrishna in the auspicious lands of the Keesaragutta hill. Swami Ranganathanandaji along with few devotees selected and acquired the land for the establishment of ashrama and in one of the later visits, swamiji meditated on the hill to determine a place for establishing the temple and pointed out the area where, now, a beautiful temple of the holy trio stands tall.
Initially, this ashrama was conducted as a vanaprastha ashrama for over and above 25 years by the devotees of Sri Ramakrishna. In the year 2018, Ramakrishna Mission was handed over the authority of the place and the Ramakrishna Math & Mission, Yadadri- Bhuvanagiri was born as a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad up until 2022. In June 2022, the ashrama was made an independent branch centre of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
The ashrama is equipped with beautiful cottages, healthy food and a serene atmosphere suitable for Spiritual Sadhana. On top of it, engaging satsangs with deep inquiries into the intricacies of spiritual path are held by revered Adhyaksha Maharaj. Sri Ramakrishna used to say that four things are required to progress towards God namely Nama Sankeerthana, Sadhusangha, Ekanthavasa and Vyakulatha. First three of them are readily available in the sacred math for the aspirant leading to the fourth i.e., Vyakulatha to progress towards God.
